jacob turns fourteen today.
i can’t help but compare my fourteen-year-old self to who he is now. i guess i thought i was the shit too; i just didn’t have an older sibling to tell me otherwise. i wonder if he’ll enjoy this year as much as i did.
tonight i watched the movie say anything for the first time, and it got me thinking. i decided that overall, i really do like the person i’ve become. at this point in our lives, we’re supposed to be focused on success and achievement and academics, and everything else is supposed to come second. i know i’m perfectly capable of that, but at the end of the day, if i’m not...
